Laura Linney's portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters has made her one of the top American actors. Her career began on Broadway shortly after her graduation, she made her debut on film in just two years, and then on television in the year after. Since then, she's appeared in countless films and stage and TV productions. Through her entire career, she's won many awards, which include two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. While she has received numerous awards throughout her career, theatre is always her main passion.
